Junya Watanabe x Goldwin AW2005 Goretex Denim Parka

Junya Watanabe x Goldwin AW2005 Goretex Denim Parka
Junya Watanabe’s ski-themed fall 2005 collection arrived at a period of outdoors-wear exploration for the Japanese designer, who was coming off the heels of a rock climbing-centric season. It is a sub-genre of clothing at which Watanabe has always felt in his wheelhouse; his gift for construction and clear vision for a rakish take on menswear meld into a vision of techwear that feels both familiar and entirely Junya’s own.
This jacket is one of many gore-tex jackets from the collection. Each of them is paired with a unique outer material, which ranged as far-fetched as plaid-check mohairs. This oversized denim iteration allows for a jacket that is both highly versatile and easy to style in a variety of ways.
Condition: 8/10. “Junya Watanabe” necktag has been removed. Some breakage to interior taped seams. Nothing visible when worn.
