These loafers come from CDG’s AW1994 collection, one of their more popular seasons among collectors, titled "Offbeat Humor." True to the notions implied, it was a whimsical collection, with shapes inspired by French circus troupes and big band performers. Pajama suits were abound on the runway, and the clothes all had a slightly irregular, messy feel to them, due to the boiled wool fabrics they were made with.

Beneath their traditional loafer uppercut, these shoes feature a stacked midsole, giving them a creeper-like silhouette. They can be seen in many different looks and variations from the season’s runway.
