In comparison to the romantic androgyny of fellow Antwerp 6 designers Ann Demeulemeester and Dries Van Noten, Dirk Bikkembergs presents a starkly masculine body of work. It was largely influenced by sportswear, and these boots are a reinterpretation of heavy-duty workwear staples. Without sacrificing any of their inspiration’s weight or functionality, they add a unique wrap around chain fastening.
