While at times his collaborations with daily-wear brands such as Converse or Champion have felt shoe-horned together, his work with Moncler has always come together seamlessly. Pushing the limits of both brands with his object development, including a stunning “Sleeping Pod” released this year, the Moncler and Rick Owens partnership is an out-of-the-box melding that has yielded magnificent results.

The “Coyote Parka” from 2020 seen below deploys shearling on the outside of the jacket, a unique trick Owens was deploying on his own work at the same time. He eschews Moncler’s typical patent outer in exchange for a smooth down-filed nylon, which allows for an understated luxury.
