Comme des Garçons Homme Plus SS2000 Gobelins Tapestry Jacket
Comme des Garçons Homme Plus SS2000 Gobelins Tapestry Jacket
For her spring 2000 Homme Plus collection, Rei Kawakubo sourced fabrics from Gobelins Manufactory, a legendary tapestry producer located in Paris. The storied Manufactory dates back to the early 1600s, and was named after a 15th century dyer and cloth-maker named Jehan Gobelin. Henry IV developed the factory in 1602, and the institution stands to this day. Kawakubo released shirts, jackets, trousers, and suits featuring intricately detailed floral-based tapestries.
Given the nature and varying placement of the fabrics, each of these pieces are wholly unique with variations throughout. This jacket features a pink floral tapestry, with a cropped, slim fit.
