“Navigate” was a fitting ending to Hedi Slimane’s tenure at Dior. Both a culmination and crescendo — a refined expression of ideas he’d progressively fine tuned in previous seasons. Ostensibly a tribute to mod culture, the runway swarmed with slim, geometric mohairs, sharp military boots, trenches and double breasted coats. Navigate was perhaps the smoothest execution of Hedi’s repeated ventures into melding youth culture with mature Parisian tailoring.

Eleven years after their release, these boots remain among Hedi Slimane’s most immediately recognizable outputs. Produced in a patent leather, pebbled leather, suede leather, and smooth leather version, this is the smooth iteration. They feature a thick crepe sole, heavy leather body and slim shaft.
