Rampant with masculinity, sex appeal, military garb, and fetish wear, the Autumn/Winter 2003 collection is the undisputed peak of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s work of the early 2000’s. The men’s runway show was presented in a dungeon-like setting, and the brawny models wore edgy adaptations of military silhouettes. Bondage straps and zippers were in abundance, and the looks were provocative and aggressive.

This bomber is amongst the essential pieces from the Dolce & Gabbana season to which every Dolce & Gabbana season is measured against. The jacket boasts a slick, highly structured militaristic form, supported by a faux fur shearling collar, heavy weight-outer, thick cargo pockets, and waist cuff, is dirtied with raucous parachute strap detailing. The seamless intersection of these disparate forms is why to this day Dolce’s fall 2003 show is held in such high esteem.
