From its initial release to nearly twenty-five years later, this jacket has maintained a place in the cultural zeitgeist matched by few if any other garments. It’s perhaps the preeminent example of Naoki Takizawa’s dexterity in regards to retrofitting classic silhouettes for a modern aesthetic. It features a shiny nylon finish with over half a dozen pockets, including notably the large back pocket. Further detailing includes the hidden hood, and traditional MA-1 work such as the sleeve pocket and ribbed cuffs.
