Within his vast canon of work, Junya's 2002 “poem” garments have entrenched themselves as a cultural high-watermark. Imbued with the musings of thinkers from would-be romantics to doomsday philosophers, these pieces typically strip down the design elements around the surrounding text, presenting the words in a stark font across minimalist garments.

This jacket adds a secondary wrinkle by appearing on a classic Levi’s trucker, whom Junya collaborated with several times. He never altered their staple silhouette, but rather imbued his eccentricities into them. He experimented with velvet and rubber fabrics, patchwork patterns, and in this case philosophical waxings.
