Number (N)ine SS/AW2003 Striped Kurt Cobain Sweater
“Touch Me I’m Sick” was a mirthless double-entendre - a reference to both the 1988 Mudhoney track, and to Takahiro Miyashita’s weakened physical state, which had prevented him from undertaking the rigorous schedule required to produce two collections in a year. That year he released a single collection, in which the looks were a love letter to Seattle’s ’90s grunge scene, and which featured meticulous reproductions of several different pieces worn by Kurt Cobain.
This sweater serves as an interpretation of Cobain’s classic striped sweater, which Cobain received from a fan in Belfast, Ireland. It’s cut extremely oversized in the arms and body, yet rather structured in the shoulders and arms.
Condition: 9/10. No significant flaws.
