Tom Ford’s farewell collection felt like a walk through the highs of his landscape-altering tenure at Gucci. From velvet smoking jackets to luxurious pony hair garments and biker jackets, Ford did not offer much we hadn’t seen before, but rather provided a reminder of the breadth of his expertise, and the void his exit would create. The season was devoid of gimmick — there was nothing scandalous, no thongs or gauche kimonos, yet the absence of such only served to underscore Ford’s immense sartorial skills, which remained even when the pomp was left out.

This ultra-luxurious jacket appeared on the runway, as did several other pieces made of rich pony hair. It’s cut with a wide relaxed fit and serves as an excellent example of the luxurious garments which Ford produced at Gucci.

Condition: 9/10. No significant flaws.
