Seditionaries Original '70s "Punk Gang" Muslin Shirt
Vivienne Westwood’s muslin tops, colloquially named for the fabric they’re made from, are one of the most iconic designs to endure from her output. Donned famously by the Sex Pistols, among others, these shirts are made with clasps along their extended sleeves, open shoulders fastened by Velcro, and a double layered drop hem. They were screen printed with a variety of different graphics, and could be purchased in store and via mail-order catalogue.
Very few authentic examples of these shirts are still in circulation, and the wear atop the fragile fabric has become intrinsic to the garment’s aesthetic — a visible reminder of the riotous era of London they were birthed from.
Condition: Heavy signs of wear and discoloration throughout. This sort of wear is to be expected from original Seditionaries pieces.
