This jacket is a 1990s re-edition of one of the more popular pieces from Vivienne’s SS1985 “Mini-Crini” collection, featuring one of the season’s recurring prints, along with one of her signature silhouettes. "Mini-Crini,” was a mocking reference to the stiff, conservative, crinoline fabrics which were popular during the 18th and 19th century, and it was notably one of her early references to a distinct historical epoch, a motif she would explore numerous times in coming years.

The jacket’s boxy, cropped shape is borrowed from the Lee 91-B, and is a silhouette employed often by Vivienne throughout the ‘80s and ‘90s. Along with its all over-print, a closer inspection reveals some playful touches, including the famous Orb logo print hidden on the inside of the cuff, hem and collar.

Condition: 8/10. Natural signs of wear, some discoloration.
