Standing as one of Harajuku’s most popular brands in the ‘90s, Masahiro Nakagawa named his brand after a specific date - November 20th, 2047, which he believes will be a significant moment in Earth’s timeline. The label put forth a sort of gleefully dystopian future through moto and military inspired clothing, contrasted against their recurring cartoon avatar Hyoma, a child who has “sex” and “violence” tattooed on his face. Unsurprisingly for a label named after the future, Nakagawa and his creative partner Lica were forward thinking in multiple respects, and famously toured the world establishing creative ateliers for what they called the “Tokyo Recycling Project,” where customers could have their old and unwanted garments transformed by having 20471120 visuals printed on them.
This knit features Hyoma with his signature tattoos, and is a unique play on classic schoolboy sweaters, displaying collegiate red and blue tones alongside a double layered collar, slim cut, and extended length.
