The astro jackets, in any iteration, have become synonymous with Helmut Lang. They stand as a moniker for his masterful intertwining of subculture iconography and traditional Italian tailoring. The astro rider in its leather form, however, is a cut above the rest. Produced in extremely limited quantities, the leather iteration is slimmer than its nylon and moleskin counterparts, with narrow arm holes and tailored sleeves. This particular iteration is made with a subtle but heavy-duty lambskin and mink fur collar: the luxury, which interplays with the avant-garde. Industrial bronze zips, moto ribbed sleeves, and high-neck closure. The end result is both striking and seamless, the leather jacket to end all leather jackets.
