While much of the retrospective focus on Dolce & Gabbana centers around a cluster of shows at the outset of the millennium, there’s a rich history of the label throughout the late-‘80s and ‘90s. At the time, Dolce was more in tune with the zeitgeist than at any point in the 2000s. In 1993, they created the wardrobe for Madonna’s Girlie Show World Tour, and three years later they outfitted the costumes for Baz Luhrman’s now legendary "Romeo + Juliet."

This piece appears to hail from the early 1990s. It’s made with a rich goat fur belied by an ultra soft calfskin leather. It features heavy duty Lampo hardware, and a couple interesting details such as an asymmetric finish, and moto-style pleating down the body of the jacket.

Condition: 9/10. No noticeable flaws.
