Jean Paul Gaultier SS1990 Skeleton Long Sleeve Shirt
Jean Paul Gaultier’s “Junior Gaultier” line was founded in 1988 with the intention of catering more directly to his youthful fans than the eponymous “Homme” and “Femme” lines. Far from a rehash or a typical “diffusion” line, Junior Gaultier was met with immediate success both publicly and critically, gathering acclaim for its ingenuity and attitude, and taking home major awards within its first year of production. The line was retired in 1994, when the “JPG by Gaultier” label replaced it, and its namesake was revitalized in the 2000s as a children’s label.
This top features an elaborate X-ray print of a skeleton, with distinct elongated sleeves intended to hang over the wearer’s hands. Despite being thirty years old, it remains BNWT.
