Raf’s fall 2004 collection saw him begin to draw upon the ultra-tailored silhouette which would purvey throughout his mid-decade work. Amidst his famous oversized outerwear and flowing pants were skin-tight bodysuits, painted-on turtlenecks, and impossibly narrow coats, all of which served as a bellwether of where Raf’s label was headed.

This patched sweater is one of the season’s most famous pieces, and features patches of many of its signature graphics, including the “Exiles” crest on the chest, and a José Ortega y Gasset quote across the arm and body.
