Gaultier’s AW1999 collection imbued his signature camp into a typically rugged biker aesthetic. He paraded riding jackets in gaudy sequin and fur iterations, and his models treated the Parisian runway with irreverence, carrying crooked smirks and smoking as they posed.

This slim and cropped cafe-moto silhouette was one of the season’s signature shapes. This version adds the “99” and “2000” graphics, which could similarly be seen on bags and other accessories from the season.
